Helen's Walk 2012

A 5K walk with a purpose -- to support people who are deaf-blind

Please Join Us
Sunday, April 29th!

RAIN OR SHINE

At the Sands Point Preserve
Check-in & Registration: 8:00 - 9:00am
Official Start: 9:15am

The students, staff and volunteers of the Helen Keller National Center invite you to join us for a short walk through beautiful Sands Point as we help raise funds for the programs and services that benefit people who live without sight and sound.

Your participation in Helen's Walk, either as a Walker or a Walk Sponsor, will make a difference in the lives of people who are deaf-blind by providing them with the supports and services they need to live a more independent lifestyle.

Follow us on Facebook and Like Us!

It is estimated that more than a million people in the United States live with combined vision and hearing loss, and those numbers are growing steadily. The largest increase will be among Baby Boomers who are losing vision and hearing through the aging process. Additionally, a fairly steady number of youth and adults are born, or become, deaf-blind every year due to premature birth, genetic causes and illness.

Register now and HKNC will be well on the way to achieving its goal of raising $50,000!

Thank you for your interest and support!
